A year later, Chris joined and added to the sound with his bass. Chip Roberts and Kurtis Skinner from Seattle, Washington are Dual Analog. Since 2019, the duo has released four singles that merge electronic and analogue sounds. The style of Dual Analog combines the sounds of the 80s and early 90s with contemporary dance music. More precise, you can hear Synthwave, Darkwave and Prog Metal enveloped in a modern EDM fashion. Therefore, Dual Analog produce electronic tunes with moog synthesizers and decorate them with catchy and rolling bass lines. The footwork is provided by dynamic polyrhythms from the drum machine.  Alex Genadinik is a singer and songwriter who enchants his listeners with soft and soothing sounds. His music is both minimalistic and heart-warming. Genadinik plays atmospheric tunes on his acoustic guitar, a piano and adds his soulful baritone voice to them. Besides cover versions he also translates Russian songs into English and plays his own songs. For this introduction to the soothing music by Alex Genadinik, I want to focus on two of his newest songs especially. “Oh Michaelangelo” is a soulful love song that was inspired by Michelangelo’s painting “The Creation of Adam”. The music is mainly driven by the warm sound of the piano. With his guitar and his dominant but soft voice creates a gorgeous love song. Further atmosphere is added by some choirs that create a heavenly air. Heute stelle ich mal wieder ein bisschen Musik aus dem sonnigen Schmalkalden vor. Die Band Ping Pong Punk gehört zum Umfeld von Ponyphone Records und ihr zweites Album wurde auch in Philipp Schwabes   Magnolia Sounds Studio aufgenommen. Mir liegen die beiden bisherigen Veröffentlichungen der Thüringer Band vor: "Klobürstenrevolution" (2015) und "Die Fassade bröckelt" (2017). Die Titel lassen es schon vermuten: es handelt sich um lupenreinen Deutschpunk . Rumpelige Rhythmen, minimalistische Arrangements, laute Stimmen und textliche Inhalte, die sich von Antifaschismus über Suff bis zum humorvollen Unsinn erstrecken. Für mich ist diese Musik unheimlich nostalgisch aufgeladen, weil sie mich an Zeiten erinnert, als mit dem Rucksack voll Dosenbier zu Jugendzentren oder Konzerten geeimert bin. Manchmal passieren in Regalen merkwürdige Dinge. Und so habe ich heute gemerkt, dass sich zwischen ein paar Musikzeitschriften und der ein oder anderen Promo-CD eine CD sowie eine 7'' Platte versteckt haben. Dabei handelt es sich um zwei im Jahr 2016 erschienene Veröffentlichungen der Oettinger Pop Punk Band Dashcoigne. Die sind mit der letzten Promo Lieferung von 30 Kilo Fieber Records mitgekommen und... dann habe ich sie da irgendwie vergessen. Sorry! Vorenthalten möchte ich euch den melodischen Punk Rock aber auch auf keinen Fall. Außerdem ist das eine schöne Überbrückung, bis ich endlich neben Seminararbeiten und der Arbeit Zeit finde, mich mit Buch und CD von Harry Gump zu befassen. Violateher from Portland, Oregon are a quite new band I discovered while scrolling through one of my favourite pages Female Fronted Punk Bands . The band consists of drummer Zoe, and guitarist and singer Taylor. Their music is "for the mothers, the sisters, the daughters, the queers, the womxn, the othered, [and] for those who will not listen". I may add, Violateher's music is awesome! I would probably describe it as raw, tough,Grunge-Punk. As far as I can conceive Violateher have been around for a bit more than a year, and have played plenty of concerts in the United States. Recently their second Single "Toothache" has been released on their Bandcamp  page featuring two songs in a beautiful, rough, and fast manner. Similar to the first Single "Me, me, me." Violateher play fast, strong, a little sludgy Punk Rock and Grunge. If you like artists such Hands off Gretel, Hole, or even Kylesa, you will easily fall in love with Violateher's music. ...

Gestern habe ich an der Arbeit einen Fyler in die Hand gedrückt bekommen. Beworben wird darauf die Band Illegal I. Noch nie gehört? Ging mir auch so; aber ich hoffe, dass sich das schnell ändert. Illegal I sind eine junge Band aus Abensberg in Niederbayern. Die Gruppe besteht aus Andy, Sven, Jacky und Dominik. Und soviel kann ich vorweg schon mal verraten: die vier haben es faustdick hinter den Ohren. Laut eigener Definition spielen Illegal I Alternative Rock und Stoner. Ich würde nach eigenem Anhören auf jeden Fall noch eine ordentliche Portion Southern Rock dazupacken, um den Stil der Band zu beschreiben. Vergleichswerte wären für mich Wolfmother, Sons of Texas, Queens of the Stone Age, ZZ Top, und irgendwie auch Pantera. Über krachig knackenden Blues Rock Licks auf dem Bass und einem heftig schweren und präzisen Schlagzeug bauen Keyboard und Gitarre wunderschöne, klare und rockige Landschaften auf, die durch Andys Gesang letztendlich perfektioniert wird. Gestern hatte ich das Vergnügen mit Phiasco. Die vier jungen Männer aus Köln haben zusammen mit den Kielern Bone Man im Würzburger Immerhin gespielt und ich meine mich zu entsinnen, der Bassist habe um Reviews gebeten. Also dann, ich präsentiere: Phiasco aus Köln! Phiasco sind zwei Gesangsstimmen, zwei Gitarren, ein Bass, ein Schlagzeug. Ein bisschen Blues, jede Menge Fuzz, viel Rock, eine gute Portion Heavy Metal. Jede Menge Spaß, der ein oder andere Witz, viel Schweden und der Lucky Loop. Aber die letzten beiden Dinge werden später noch thematisiert. Ich selbst habe gestern zum ersten Mal von Phiasco gehört, aber die Band aus "Köllefornia" scheint schon einige Jahre unterwegs zu sein. Ich habe mir nach dem gestrigen Konzert ihr drittes Album "Vieh" mitgenommen.
