Julesy from NYC is bursting into the Indie Pop scene with her first EP "This Current Self-Intervention". The release contains six soulful tracks that smoothly scream to keep the name Julesy in mind. Artistically, the artist is turning the modes of independent pop music inside out. Dreamy synthetic sounds create a sonic reverie: energetic, powerful, and yet soulful and atmospheric.

Denying gridlocked structures of contemporary music, Julesy easily proves that catchy and boppy sounds can be experimental and artistic. Thus, "This Current Self-Intervention" combines elements of Dream Pop and late 80s Synthwave without copying them, and gives them a fresh paint job with colours of modern Art Pop. Julesy makes complex song structures float like light swell, and creates a timeless sound which is so diverse and yet so catchy.
Apparently, the artist made this EP while drinking soda stream. I wrote this review while drinking red wine. It fits, too.
