In the post everything era I sometimes miss simple pleasures, including the chart topper pop. And the sweeter becomes the pop craft of Bryanna Rain, an aspiring US-producer. She’s been testing the waters since last summer.
Bryanna started with creating a character, a dimension of Eternia - with the first EP Blaming Eternia - four track release with distinctive traits of Paul Oakenfolds EDM, elements of synthwave and noir vocal club music. EP also includes an acoustic guitar demo Sleeping, pure MTV pop from the mid-2000s. And #Blaming Simar gets back on the track of classic pop dance with female vocals. This release sets the vector for the future development of Bryanna as an artist - feminine, simple and positioned to explode.
Alas, this saga only got the second chapter. Eternia’s Return is another EP with slightly updated creative focus with addition of chiptune and stronger experimental electro influences. The Dirge is a step into the progressive pop/trance direction with no fear - with permanent success, turning to dramatic synth pop. Then once again, an expected house music number and an acoustic ballad, a cover of Tasmin Archers Sleeping Satellite - which once again highlights Bryannas love for 90s pop.
Next two releases are single tracks cementing Rains ambitions to establish herself as a big female DJ. Both Sure Shot and Arcades, Aeroplanes aim to please dance music fans, with stronger emphasis on classic EDM.
Good to see the revival of something classic, simple and just fun. Thanks, Bryanna, we needed that.
