Fitting the old machine, let's have a closer look at this blast from the past: Wirksystem's 2010 release "Hawaii". "Hawaii" is a thirteen-track clusterbomb of Nu Metal and Rapcore with some bittersweet Alternative Metal melancholia that soothes the aggressive soundscape from time to time. Mastermind Christopher Fuhrhop creates a massive wall of sound, coined by harsh breaks, brachial metallic riffs, and the tense energy that raises between passion and anger. The album is defined by a strong density and a versatile musical landscape. Melodic Hardcore parts merge into insanely heavy breakdowns, and SOAD-like Alternative Metal joins a raging moshpit with the most powerful rap lyrics.
