Behold, for there is a new star rising on the sky of Progressive Metal ! Alex Gallieni  is a young musician from Mexico City . He studied at the Center for Artistic Education Luis Spota Saavadera and the Escuela des Bellas Artes de Tultepec . Bands Gallieni  has played with are (among others) Malayameng , Adimensional  and Traktor Mexico . His first single "Catharsis" was published via Killsound Productions : It begins with some heavy Prog Metal and Djent that spirals around itself and gets more intense as it approaches its first climax. Then, around the middle of the track, a massive Symphonic Metal motif kicks in. On multiple layers Gallieni  thrashes straight forward with versatile and intelligent shredding while "Catharsis" is moving towards the intense last part. Hello there! It's Horror Monday! I received access to the new album by Mexican one-person Avantgarde Death Metal project The Outsider. That means 66 minutes of Horror and Symphonic Metal being available via Killsound Productions on April 24, 2020. The Outsider reinvented their avantgarde once more. Abandoning oriental motifs for the most part on the new album the project is presenting instruments and musical features of the pre-Hispanic era of Central America. Those are intertwined with Jazz passages, huge symphonic arrangements, choirs and brutal frightening Death Metal. The outcome is a brachial and beautilfully scaring listening experience. The setting relocates the listeners to the dark world of pre-Hispanic beliefs and religion. The Outsider impressively musick the fear of an apocalypse to come and pictographically describe the horrors of sacrifices for the ancient gods. It is a scary world the band shows us.
