To get a more concise view of the band, I also want to put in my two cents on their previous work, Crust's second long-player "... and a Dirge becomes an Anthem" which was published via three Russian labels last summer. ...and a Dirge Becomes an Anthem by Crust Most striking difference between "... and a Dirge becomes an Anthem" and its successor "Stoic" is the sound quality. Crust's second album is defined by somehow fuzzy garage sound that reminds of Black Metal recordings by early-day Bathory or Mayhem. The drums especially are a little muffled. And speaking of Black Metal, here...

And now here we are, listening to "Дым" (Russian: smoke), 45 minutes of sonic ashes, fire, and infernal soundscapes. As far as I can tell, "Дым" is the first album with Russian lyrics only by the band from Central Russian Kaluga. Дым by Remote On their newest work, Remote provide us with a brachial mix of atmospheric Post Metal, Black Metal-like coldness, and the slow but massive force of Sludge and Stoner Metal. Listening to "Дым", you can easily imagine a giant crack tearing apart Earth's soil, spawning eruptions that burn down every living being while an army of demons marches across the flaming ...

Previously, the quintet from Lower Fraconia already let us listen to " Death Worship " and " Dawn " and thereby increased the excitement for the upcoming full-length release. Misanthropocene by Klamm The fourteen-minute longtrack can be separated into two major themes. "Anthropocene" starts with a heavy, atmospheric and ice cold Black Metal part. But actually, the Québécois band has been around for over twenty years and has recently released their ninth longplayer "Pleine Noirceaur" (French: "Full Darkness"). Th trio consisting of Mélanie Moneon , Topon Das  and Mathieu Vilandre  has coined the term Bastardized Grindcore which I would describe as a melange of British-style Grindcore, massive Sludge and a Black Metal atmosphere. In late 2019 they finally released their debut LP via Spanish label Violence in the Veins. The output is an 11-track album with a very interesting (or artistic) order of songs. The eight songs are numbered XVIII, XIV, XII, XV, XVI, XVII, XIX, XX. Furthermore, there are three tracks called 'Atone' which are ordered II, I, III. Maybe, I just don't get it, or this is pure nihilism. Either way, it does not mar the quality of "Demons or someone else" a bit.
