You will find previous articles and reviews on the music by Tess  and Jahn   here . Their newest output is something I would not have expected. The bigger is the surprise. 'Back in Black', originally written and performed by a band from Australia that I find extremely overrated, is the latest video release by Molosser, and actually it has become pretty cool! Although the cover version does not feature too many of the thrilling dark harmonies that make Molosser's original songs so exciting, the duo has hereby created a cool camp fire version of the rock classic. Molosser's album "Appear" is a collection of hits and bangers. If you wanted to read my review of the full-length, click here . Hence, it is only comprehensible that the Swedish duo is releasing single after single from their first longplayer. The latest of these singles is the stunning track 'Ray of Moonlight' which apparently will be the second but last single release from "Appear" before ' Ellesmere Island ' will get its own video later this year. The song title 'Ray of Moonlight' is like onomatopeia to the music of the track. With their bitter-sweet and darkishly atmospheric sonic art, Molosser enchant their audience once more. Thus, 'Ray of Sunlight' feels like a silver stream of light breaking through thick clouds and reflecting on the cold surface ...

The six-minute track paints beautifully swinging images by only using downtuned guitar, drums and, vocals. The colours of this sonic painting are saturated, thick, dark, and smell of semi-sweet red wine. The soundscape on this gorgeous piece of Folk Rock is a bit less jazzy than on "Unsolid". Instead, the bittersweet melancholy is even thicker here. Molosser's "Solid Gold" is a deeply soothing reverie spreading passion, warmth, and the urge to light a candle. This is independent dark Folk Rock for the campfire site, for an endless journey, and for the passionate. Molosser have once more produced a sensual and hypnotizing song. The Swedish duo mixes Northern European Folk with dark Alternative Rock and creates a unique and moody soundscape. "Unsolid" is their newest single that also happens to be the opening track of their recent album " Appear ". A guitar tuned so low, it builds a jazzy bass line, hovers over dynamic percussions and joins an ecstatic dance with the folky lead guitar. The soulful hymn moves the body like a fiddle charming a snake while Tess ' stunning vocals complete the hypnotizing and coloufully dark sonic image.
