Hallo und herzlich willkommen zur zweiten Reader Suggestion ! Für dieses Mal wurde mir die ost australische Band Amyl and the Sniffers vorgeschlagen. Da mir die Gruppe bisher noch komplett fremd war, bedanke ich mich zuallererst sehr herzlich bei Gregor für diesen Vorschlag! Wenn ihr auf Musik, Comics, Filme und mehr Spaß steht, schaut mal auf seinem Blog vorbei. Es lohnt sich! Nun aber zu Amyl and the Sniffers. Hinter dem schönen Namen steckt eine vierköpfige Band aus Melbourne, die sich dem durstigen und dreckigen Punk Rock verschrieben hat. Pub Punk nennen die Vier ihren Stil, der sich grob zwischen 77 Punk, Garage Rock und Rock'n'Roll bewegt. Capital Youth aus dem sonnigen Genf haben ein neues Mixtape an den Start gebracht. Über das Label Roosevelt Records, das sie selbst ins Leben gerufen haben, werden zwei brandneue Tracks released. Musikalisch spielt sich "Mixtape Vol. 2" zwischen kraftvollem Indie Rock , 77 Punk, Garage Rock und Surf Punk ab. Es geht also mit Vollgas nach vorne. Crunchige Gitarren bauen in schönster 77er und Garage Manier das Grundgerüst für die beiden flotten Nummern. Ganiert wird das Ganze mit melodischen Klängen, die die Hörenden direkt in eine sommerliche Umgebung versetzen. In drei Wochen ist es soweit: The Sensitives , Death by Horse , und The Bloodstrings gehen zusammen auf Tournee! Das Motto heißt " Female Fronted Boy Bands ". Gemeinsam werden die drei Gruppen vom 21. bis 30. November nahezu täglich eine Venue abreißen. The Sensitives Punk Rock aus Schweden mit einem galanten 77er-Einschlag. Innerhalb der letzten acht Jahre haben The Sensitives drei flotte, tanzbare Alben voller Rock'n'Roll, Punk Rock, und Party herausgebracht. Fans von Ebba Grön oder Asta Kask werden viel Freude mit dieser Truppe haben.
