Hallo und herzlich willkommen zur ersten Reader Suggestion ! Wir beginnen mit handgemachter Musik aus Oberfranken. Im alten Landkreis Pegnitz wurde aus Josev , Josef und Joseph eine Band - The Sandbox Josephs. Im Sandkasten des Trios befinden sich immer eine Weissenborn Lap Steel, eine elektrische Gibson sowie ein Banjo. Für die Aufnahmen von "Dig" wurden noch gelegentlich Bass, Resonator Gitarre, E-Gitarre, Percussions, Keyboard und auch eine Mandoline mit dazu genommen. Mein erstes Augenmerk fällt auf die Verpackung. Himmelherrgot, was für eine wunderschöne Hülle! The Sandbox Josephs haben ihr ersten Album liebevoll mit einem 26-seitigen Booklet ausgestattet. Innen findet man neben wirklich schönen Bildern auch sämtliche Texte der 13 Songs auf "Dig". Okay, 'Into the Silence' ist eine instrumentale Nummer, aber dennoch hat der Song seine eigene Doppelseite im Büchlein erhalten. Gestern Abend (18. Oktober 2019) wurde ich direkt mit einer Premiere konfrontiert. Noch nie zuvor habe ich Stühle vor der Bühne in der Kellerperle gesehen. Darüber hinaus gab es zur Feier des Tages Sekt, denn es galt das Release von Ami Lyons ' EP "Back Home" zu feiern. Wer an meiner Review zu dieser Veröffentlichung interessiert ist, klicke hier . Vor schon gut gefüllten Reihen legte gegen zwanzig vor Neun der Würzburger Singer Songwriter Christoph Eschenbach als Support los. In der ersten Folge " Folk on Wheels " stellte er sich selbst mal vor "Ich bin Christoph Eschenbach und ich mach' so Melancholie-Kacke". Link zum Song 'Leave me Alone' lohnt sich anzuklicken. Zwischen Biertischen, Fleischsalat, Flammkuchen und dem Main hat sich am Mittwoch eine schöne Release Party ereignet. Ich war tatsächlich zum allerersten Mal in der Marina Hafenbar und war positiv angetan von dem Konzertraum im Bootshaus neben Restaurant und Biergarten. Zusätzlich zu den regulären Gästen haben sich gegen Abend auch zunehmend Fans von Blues und Rock'n'Roll eingefunden, denn heute war es endlich soweit, dass Leaving Spirit ihre erste CD "Things Change" rausbringen. Als Vorband waren Blind Man's Medicine auf der Bühne. Mit ihrer minimalistischen Ausstattung aus Djembe, Akustikgitarre und zwei Gesangsmikrophonen hat das Duo aus Würzburg den Abend schon mal ordentlich aufgeheizt. Musikalisch bewegte sich das Ganze mit hauchig melodischen Stimmeinsätzen über schnellem Akustik Blues. Ich finde, einen gewissen Desert Rock Einfluss in Richtung Mark Lanegan rausgehört zu haben.
