Und da uns Folk's Worst Nightmare online gerade mit ihrer #FolksWorstWideWebTour beglücken, halte ich es für angemessen, in diesem Atemzug auch den Mitte 2019 veröffentlichten Sampler der wilden Barden zu besprechen. Es ist mal wieder Zeit für einen Tonträger aus der bunten Kiste meines liebsten Liedermacherkollektivs. John Steam Jr. aus Nürnberg ist mit der verrückten Truppe von Folk's Worst Nightmare unterwegs. Wer das Wirken der fränkischen Barden noch nicht unter die Lupe genommen hat, sollte das auf jeden Fall nachholen. Neben seiner Arbeit im Kollektiv unterstützt John Steam Jr. auch EgoTherapie s Projekt Folk on Wheels  mit seinem Artwork. Das erste Full-Length Solo Album "Anywhere but here" von John Steam Jr. ist auch schon 2018 erschienen, hat hier jedoch in jedem Fall eine Erwähnung verdient. Auf zehn Tracks zeigt sich John Steam Jr. mit kräftiger Stimme, melodischer und dynamischer Akustikgitarre, introvertiert nachdenklichen Texten, sowie einer angenehmen Atmosphäre mit harmonischen Overdubs, Leads und Backing Vocals.
