Want to advertise on MangoWave? Send a request to rmangowave@gmail.com Mind Erasure - Connive   ( MR ) (55:43, Album, Digital, selfrelease, 13/02/2022) The long and imposant symphonic introduction 'Proem' raises tension and anticipation at the beginning of Mind Erasure's new album "Connive". Those progressive, melodic, and symphonic parts play a central role on the eleven-track release as they create powerful bonds and intermission between the harsh and brachial Blackened Death Metal provided by the trio from Corfu, Greece. Hence, "Connive" is both, artistically and brutally, a stunning Metal album. Polymorth - Rainmaking   ( MR ) (12:29, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 16/02/2022) Oli Mortham  from English town Diss, also known as the artistic mastermind behind Polymorth

Album Review: Die Silberfische - Die Mauer (2022)

Die Silberfische - Die Mauer Release Date: February 22, 2022 Label: Rocketfuel Releases Format: Digital Length: 43:34 Genre: Future Retro Sound / NDW / Indietronic Origin: Aachen , Germany About one-and-a-half years ago, Die Silberfische (German: The Fishmoths) from Aachen in the very West of the German Federal Republic have released their debut album "Vorsicht! Die Silberfische kommen" ("Caution! The Fishmoths are coming"). You can get to my review on this album by  clicking here . The debut album was a very colourful release that breathed new life into the 1980s Neue Deutsche Welle genre and combined it with melancholic Punk and Post Punk. Now, the sophomore full length release by Die Silberfische "Die Mauer" ("The Wall") is out, and it marks some serious development in sound, mood, and atmosphere. "Die Mauer" is the result of a two-hour recording session during lockdown. All songs are one-takes which makes the fifteen-track album

In December  Amar  (drums), Antoine  (guitar), and Quentin  (guitar) have played two tracks from " Yōkai" at a special recording session for Stellar Frequencies at Nôtre-Dame-Sur-L'Eau in Verneuil en Bourbonnais. The sweet and deep melancholia of the songs 'Whispers' and 'Banshee' beautifully resonates with the church's atmosphere. Album Review: Small Island Big Song - Our Island (2022)

Image
Picture Credit: Small Island Big Song   Small Island Big Song - Our Island Release Date: January 28, 2022 Label: selfrelease Format: CD / Digital Length: 69:19 Genre: World Music Origin: Taiwan / Australia In the year 2015, producer BaoBao Chen  from Taiwan and Australian film maker Tim Cole  have joined forces and founded the project Small Island Big Song. Their intention is to give a voice to people that are often unheard in global debates about climate change - the inhabitants of island nations in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The approach Chen  and Cole  used here differs from the typical cinematic presentation of the impact of climate change on people's lives. Instead, the artists started a multi-channel way to display the cultural heritage which is at stake when we do not stop the sea levels from rising. Therefore, Cole  and Chen  have filmed more than a hundred musicians performing over sixteen island nations. Recordings by musicians from Rapa Nui, Tahiti, Papua New Guinea

This coverage was created via Musosoup  #Sustainablecurator Click here  and run your own campaign on MusoSoup Delujn - Ride in Chains   ( MR ) (06:29, Single, Digital, Pseudo Sound, 14/02/2022) The latest single 'Ride in Chains' by Delujn from British Columbian town Victoria is a dreamy, steamy, and creamy sonic dedication to the feeling of being lost. The Canadian artist plants a powerful seed that spreads hope in the middle of a thick mist of desolation and distance. This impressive soundscape made from Dream Pop, Shoegaze, and Fuzz combines goal-directness and being bushed. This massive cocktail of contrary emotions makes 'Ride in Chain' extremely thrilling and catchy.
