After their succesful 2016 LP " Klotho ", Adelaide -based Groove and Thrash Metal band Alkira got busy promoting their music in Australia , New Zealand and South East Asia. In November 2019 the South Australian quartet came back with their newest selfreleased EP "The Pulse". The five-track release can be purchased on their Bandcamp profile  as MP3, FLAC or CD. Alkira play brachial, broad-shouldered and rapid Thrash Metal influenced by Groove Metal and a small dose of Black Metal. While drummer Ryan Quarrington  is thrashing, galopping and stomping forward bass player Tyson Mahoney , guitarists Joel Parkinson  and Gregory Challis  create a massive sound on that speedy foundation. Sonorous and distorted riffs cover a huge sound spectrum of heavy music which almost reminds of Sludge. Gregory s strained vocals add to the powerful atmosphere of this dynamic work. Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika. In der Nähe von Recklinghausen wiederum veröffentlicht die drei Jahre zuvor gegründete Thrash Metal Band Entophyte ihr erstes und einziges Album "End of Society's Sanity" bei dem Label Mad Noise . Von 1989 bis 1999 droschen die vier Musiker um sich, bis sie nach ihrer Auflösung leider in einer Senke zwischen Legende und Vergessenheit einkehrten. Ganze drei Jahrzehnte nach Bandgründung und zwei Dekaden nach Auflösung wurde es Zeit für ein schönes Sammlerstück. Das kanadische Label Awakening Records legt die vor 18 Jahren erschienene CD neu auf, um die Erinnerung an diese außerordentliche Thrash Metal Band sowie an deren vor zwölf Jahren verstorbenen Sänger Harry  aufrechtzuerhalten. But still, I'd rather say that the last proper Flower Kings album was 2013-released "Desolation Rose". Hallo und herzlich willkommen zur zweiten Reader Suggestion ! Für dieses Mal wurde mir die ost australische Band Amyl and the Sniffers vorgeschlagen. Da mir die Gruppe bisher noch komplett fremd war, bedanke ich mich zuallererst sehr herzlich bei Gregor für diesen Vorschlag! Wenn ihr auf Musik, Comics, Filme und mehr Spaß steht, schaut mal auf seinem Blog vorbei. Es lohnt sich! Nun aber zu Amyl and the Sniffers. Hinter dem schönen Namen steckt eine vierköpfige Band aus Melbourne, die sich dem durstigen und dreckigen Punk Rock verschrieben hat. Pub Punk nennen die Vier ihren Stil, der sich grob zwischen 77 Punk, Garage Rock und Rock'n'Roll bewegt. It is time for some heavy Old School Thrash. Therefore, today's object of desire is Amporphia's album "Arms to Death". Amorphia from Cherthala, Alappuzha were founded in 2012 with the deep desire to keep traditional and brutal Thrash Metal alive. The Indians' album "Arms to Death makes a very good effort in doing so. Lovers of Thrash and Speed Metal won't be mistaken by checking out the album which was released on Awakening Records . Neither the state of Kerala nor India itself were regions from where I expected a mincing Thrash band to come from. Fortunately, Amorphia managed to close that prejudiced gap of mine. Further, the music by Amorphia has nothing to do with any Oriental, Folklorist or whatever influence. The band plays Thrash Metal the way we know it from groups such as Sodom or Kreator. Nomen est omen. Buenos Aires-based trio Bonehammer called their debut album "Black Crust Invasion", and that is exactly what you get. For a bit more than half an hour the Argentinian Metal Punks serve their audience with dirty and crusty attacks made from Black Metal , Stenchcore, Crust Punk and rotten Rock'n'Roll. Formed in 2018, Ódnüfak , Onahíram  and Alaph  already present their first longplayer which was released via Awakening Records in November 2019. The album contains a dozen tracks of mid-tempo and some faster crusty and metallic Punk Rock. Omnipresent attribute is the pitch black atmosphere decorated with the sweet taste of beer and raised fists. As the backbone of the "Black Crust Invasion" Alaph s drums hammer straight forward with Thrash, Black and Metal Punk rhythms. "Un verano silencioso" - a silent summer. This title is a dedication to the 12 months between late 2018 and late 2019. It was a time in which silently but steadily the silence about growing injustice in Chile vanished. It was a calm before the storm which we still feel today. It was a silent but tense era while people in Chile organized, supported each other, and asked themselves how much longer they can stay silent. "Un verano silencioso" also the name of Carlos Torrejón s first solo album. The Chilenan artist has played a lot of Noise and Rock with bands such as Fosfeno, Am Battom or Lovecraft within the last three decades. The idea to record an instrumental Post-Rock and Noise album came to him in 2017. But after some attempts to do so with former band colleagues, Torrejón  aborted the mission. Hallo und herzlich willkommen zur ersten Reader Suggestion ! Wir beginnen mit handgemachter Musik aus Oberfranken. Im alten Landkreis Pegnitz wurde aus Josev , Josef und Joseph eine Band - The Sandbox Josephs. Im Sandkasten des Trios befinden sich immer eine Weissenborn Lap Steel, eine elektrische Gibson sowie ein Banjo. Für die Aufnahmen von "Dig" wurden noch gelegentlich Bass, Resonator Gitarre, E-Gitarre, Percussions, Keyboard und auch eine Mandoline mit dazu genommen. Mein erstes Augenmerk fällt auf die Verpackung. Himmelherrgot, was für eine wunderschöne Hülle! The Sandbox Josephs haben ihr ersten Album liebevoll mit einem 26-seitigen Booklet ausgestattet. Innen findet man neben wirklich schönen Bildern auch sämtliche Texte der 13 Songs auf "Dig". Okay, 'Into the Silence' ist eine instrumentale Nummer, aber dennoch hat der Song seine eigene Doppelseite im Büchlein erhalten. Dass die Kölner Band The DogHunters ein gewisses Faible für Wortspiele und Puns hat, wurde schon durch den 2017er Langspieler " The Shit Singles " unter Beweis gestellt. Diese Disziplin nehmen Schäng Anakonda , Peter Silie , Marquito Ferrero , Miami Vince  und Theo van Heuss  auch bei ihrem zweiten Album " Splitter Phaser Naked " wieder sehr ernst. Das schöne Scheibchen ist seit November 2019 als CD, hellblaue LP oder im Bundle beim sympathischen Krautrock Label Tonzonen Records erschienen. Etwas weniger als eine Dreiviertelstunde rocken und tanzen sich die fünf Künstler aus Hürth und Köln in erfrischender Weise durch die Rillen des Tonträgers. Dabei erzeugen sie eine sehr warme sowie definitiv krautige Melange aus tanzbarem Indie oder Alternative Rock und jeder Menge Summer of Love. Dhármico are a six-piece band San Felipe in Región de Valparaíso, Chile. And if you also heard of that name for the very first time, I hope you will pay close attention now because there is some amazing experimental and psychedelic Rock Music to be discovered here! "Transeúnte" is the name of Dhármico's second long player. Their first album " Yevide " was released four years ago. Like the debut their new album is released by a cooperation of Chilean label Experimentos Rurales , Peruvian label Necio Records , and Argentinian label Chancho Discos . Des Weiteren heißt Sie auch die Crew bestehend aus Armin Schopper , Arndt Fiebig , Andreas Lessenich , Christian Ray Trampnau  sowie Tom Engstfeld  willkommen. Gemeinsam werden wir dafür sorgen, dass unser Flug durch die Zeit sicher, farbenfroh und gut gelaunt abläuft. Unser heutiges Ziel ist das Folk-Festival in Bad Waldeck im Jahr 1964. Der Moment von dem wir ausgehen, dass er die musikalische Epiphanie des "Godfather of Kraut" Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser  war. Sounds of New Soma, die tonzonalen Space Krauts aus Krefeld, haben also eine musikalische Hommage an Krautrock Legende Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser  veröffentlicht. Der einflussreiche Autor, Labelchef und Plattenproduzent bekommt eine fast 45 Minuten dauernde Ehrerbietung in Form der Musik, die er selbst ab der zweiten Hälfte des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts promotet hat. Hallo und herzlich willkommen im neuen Jahrzehnt! Zu Beginn des neuen Jahres stelle ich das dritte Album der Berliner Punk Band Herr Paulsen und das Zeitproblem vor. Die Platte hat etwas weniger als eine halbe Stunde Spielzeit, heißt "aufgewacht verlaufen" und erscheint bei 30 Kilo Fieber Records / Tanz auf Ruinen Records / Elfenart Records . Für die Aufnahmen sind Philipp , Steven , Martin  und Daniel  Ende März 2019 ins Petemusik Tonstudio Rostock gegangen, um das gesamte Album in einer viertägigen Session live einzuspielen. Das ist Punk Rock; dem ist nichts hinzuzufügen. Herr Paulsen und das Zeitproblem spielen auf "aufgewacht verlaufen" druckvollen, disharmonischen Punk Rock, der sich viel an Einflüssen aus Depro Punk sowie (Emotional) Hardcore bedient. Verzerrter und chrunchiger Gitarrensound kratzt über warmen Bass wie Schlittenkufen über verschneite Hügel. Abwechslungsreiche Rhythmen von Schlagzeug und Bass treiben die Fahrt mal schnurstracks nach vorne
