Genre: Nu Metal

While my notebook is still broken, I am currently working with a very old computer. Fitting the old machine, let's have a closer look at this blast from the past: Wirksystem's 2010 release "Hawaii".

"Hawaii" is a thirteen-track clusterbomb of Nu Metal and Rapcore with some bittersweet Alternative Metal melancholia that soothes the aggressive soundscape from time to time. Mastermind Christopher Fuhrhop creates a massive wall of sound, coined by harsh breaks, brachial metallic riffs, and the tense energy that raises between passion and anger.

The album is defined by a strong density and a versatile musical landscape. Melodic Hardcore parts merge into insanely heavy breakdowns, and SOAD-like Alternative Metal joins a raging moshpit with the most powerful rap lyrics. The powerful sound comes from the dichotomous and yet coherent influences of Rap, Hardcore, Metal, and passionate melancholia.

Each of the thirteen tracks is a colourful and various image full of emotions, sober analyses of the status quo, and the motivation for change to create a better future. Wirksystem concern issues of daily life, social and political topics, environmental issues, and more. It is a sweeping blow empowering the audience to take action because a better life is not only possible - it is worth and necessary fighting for. Thus, "Hawaii" is a strong cocktail of wake-up calls. But it is not a cocktail that comes with a little umbrella or decorating fruit - it comes with an igniter cord.
So, turn up the volume and enjoy the powerful merge of passion and anger as together they create love and improvement.
