"Donuts in the Rain" is a song about chances in life that grant you to re-discover and re-invent yourselves. It is about changing tack, realizing flaws and issues, and consequently changing for good. Phoenix -based band Vera Revive recently released their first single "What it means to forgive". Tough Post Hardcore is mixed with Alternative Metal , melancholic harmonies and melodic leads. Inner conflicts about the act of forgiving and apologizing are wrapped up in a brachial soundscape between hoarse shouting and smooth vocals. The structure of the song reminds of a musicked inner monologue. Despite the content and the musical features Vera Revive's "What it means to forgive" does not sound like an Emocore revival. In der heutigen Reader Suggestion mal etwas komplett anderes. Und ich muss zugeben, dass ich diesen Vorschlag schon ein paar mal weiter nach hinten verschoben habe. Aber jetzt ist es Zeit für die erste und einzige Nedal Band der Welt: Okilly Dokilly. Der Name Okilly Dokilly ist wahrscheinlich den meisten hier schon geläufig. Es handelt sich um eine Metal Band aus Phoenix, Arizona, deren Gimmick Ned Flanders von den Simpsons ist. Die Band wurde 2015 gegründet und veröffentlichte bisher die Alben "Howdilly Doodilly" (2016) und deren Nachfolger "Howdilly Twodilly" (2019). Meine Review wird sich in erster Linie mit dem zweiten Werk der vier Neds befassen. Das Konzept von Okilly Dokilly ist schnell erklärt.
