Mit großer Freude präsentiere ich das neue Album der Psychedelic Rock Band Uluru. Das Trio aus Instabul hat seit 2015 bereits zwei EPs veröffentlicht und hat jetzt zu meiner großen Freude die erste Langspielplatte mit dem Namen "Acrophilia" herausgebracht. Das gute Stück kann beim deutschen Label Tonzonen erworben werden und verzaubert für etwas mehr als eine halbe Stunde die Trommelfelle mit süßen, melodischen, instrumentalen psychedelischen Klängen. Der Stil von Uluru ist in erster Linie Psychedlic Rock mit deutlicher Betonung auf Rock. Und dennoch lassen sie sich nicht in eindeutigen Schubladen einordnen. Die Riffs marschieren durch das Album, während sich an jeder kleinen Ecke wunderschöne Nuancen und Funken zeigen. Das ist es, was die Musik von Uluru so schön macht. In Stoner und Psychedelic Rock Manier loopt sich die Musik voran; und dann sind da plötzlich Melodien in nahöstlichen Skalen, die Hand in Hand mit Heavy Metal Licks vor einer Space Rock Atmosphäre tanzen. ...

Today I'm very glad to present an LP by the Turkish Psychedelic Rock Band Uluru. The Istanbul based trio has released two EPs since 2015. Now we can finally listen to their first longplayer "Acrophilia" which can be bought at the German record label Tonzonen. For a bit more than half an hour Uluru enchant your eardrums with sweet, melodic, instrumental psychedelic Rock music on this record. Uluru clearly play Psychedelic music with a strong emphasis on the Rock genre. Still their music does not fit stereotypical schemes of the genre though. While the riffs are marching forward through the songs, there are so many small nuances and little sparks that make their music so beautiful. The basic structure loops its way in a Stoner and Psychedelic Rock manner. And then there are those layers of Arabic scales going hand in hand with Heavy Metal licks, spacy atmosphere and much more.
