Middle Franconia's darkest musical story-teller, Mäkkelä, is back with his new album "Dog & Typewriter". The twelve-track album was between lockdowns, in a time when travelling Mäkkelä was not allowed to fulfill his regular pensum of annual live shows. And yet, it is not a typical COVID album. Instead, Mäkkelä goes on with his routine, telling beautiful, sad, melancholic, and atmospheric stories about meeting people, exploring the world, being on the road, taking five and reflecting about life, and about life itself. Unlike latest release "Trad and Anger", "Dog & Typewriter" is available for streaming on Bandcamp and Spotify, but of course having this CD in your car stereo is always the better choice, isn't it?



Eleven original tracks and a Mäkkelä-arrangement of the traditional song 'Satan, your Kingdom must come down' are filled with the sweetest melancholia, desire and wanderlust, and the joy of being alive - including all of its ups and downs. The musician from Fürth is supported by amazing artists on "Dog & Typewriter" who cannot be unmentioned:

On every new CD, the Finno-Franconian musician presents his unique Mäkkelä-sound in new shapes and and outfits. And just like this, "Dog & Typewriter" is another beautiful work to tie your bots to, to pack your rucksack to, and to enjoy a hot cup of coffee to while sitting at a campfire.
