"Anthropocene" is the third and final ex ante single of Klamm's album"Misanthropocene" which  is about to be released on June 01, 2021. Previously, the quintet from Lower Fraconia already let us listen to "Death Worship" and "Dawn" and thereby increased the excitement for the upcoming full-length release.

The fourteen-minute longtrack can be separated into two major themes. "Anthropocene" starts with a heavy, atmospheric and ice cold Black Metal part. For the first eight-and-a-half minutes, Klamm merge a brachial composition of melancholic Black Metal and sludgy heaviness. Cold as tundra winds, "Anthropocene" creates sonic images that resemble a staunch march against a blizzard.
The second part keeps the sound of desparation but introduces massive changes in tempo and intensity. Driven by an acoustic guitar, Klamm spread darkness and doom. After the raging destruction of the first part, here it becomes obvious that the rule of humankind - the Anthropocene - is about to end. Thus, the coda resembles the last flames illuminating the ruins of what used to be huma society. The clean vocals in this part may raise a question of taste - personally, I accepted them the second time I listened to the track.
