With a new track to make Flying Lotus jealous, Ultramonk 9 has released a new music video.
As mentioned before it’s a combo of EDM production and some old-school rapping, with turntables entwined in the mix. The main part of the track is a mean (intended) slow beat with low-pitched vocals; the flow is chill, and the game is strong.
The second best thing about this is the video itself. It features a kid in a huge Trump mask, flexing around the city, being all weird and cheesy. The sequence also features cartoon segments that pretty much sum up the presidential term of ol uncle Donald - corny, bizarre, and just being a big meanie.
The closing seconds leave the viewer in front of a blank screen and deconstructing beats until there is just a lonely gangsta piano left. You have just witnessed the power of street knowledge.
