For lovers of Psychedelic , Experimental and Avant-Garde music, this compilation is a great chance to look East. Einleitung und Ausklang bilden einen kalten und reibenden Rahmen, in dem sich die vier mit lateinischen Nummern benannten Titel aufhalten. Die vier Titel bahnen sich ihren Weg auf treibenden zu Eis erstarrten Atmosphären. Das Schlagzeug prescht nach vorne wie ein Panzerbattalion, während es an den Geschütztürmen vom Bass unterstützt wird. Darüber breiten sich die Gitarrenspuren auf. The Same River are four musicians from Athens , Greece . In March 2020 they came out with their first release. The four-track EP "Live at the Blackbox" is a self-explanatory output since it was recorded live at the Blackbox in Athens. The Same River creates huge scaffoldings of slow but powerful motifs hot as desert sand. In the acoustic introductions and bridges of the songs the band sometimes reminds me of Tito & Tarantula which might be due to the remarkable voice of Diamond Pr . The heavy parts on the other hand show some similarity with early Coogans Bluff. As each of the tracks climax The Same River build impressive bridges between warmly rolling Blues Rock and bone-dry Desert Rock. Behold, for there is a new star rising on the sky of Progressive Metal ! Alex Gallieni  is a young musician from Mexico City . He studied at the Center for Artistic Education Luis Spota Saavadera and the Escuela des Bellas Artes de Tultepec . Bands Gallieni  has played with are (among others) Malayameng , Adimensional  and Traktor Mexico . His first single "Catharsis" was published via Killsound Productions : It begins with some heavy Prog Metal and Djent that spirals around itself and gets more intense as it approaches its first climax. Then, around the middle of the track, a massive Symphonic Metal motif kicks in. On multiple layers Gallieni  thrashes straight forward with versatile and intelligent shredding while "Catharsis" is moving towards the intense last part.
