Delujn - Ride in Chains (MR)
(06:29, Single, Digital, Pseudo Sound, 14/02/2022)
The latest single 'Ride in Chains' by Delujn from British Columbian town Victoria is a dreamy, steamy, and creamy sonic dedication to the feeling of being lost. The Canadian artist plants a powerful seed that spreads hope in the middle of a thick mist of desolation and distance. This impressive soundscape made from Dream Pop, Shoegaze, and Fuzz combines goal-directness and being bushed. This massive cocktail of contrary emotions makes 'Ride in Chain' extremely thrilling and catchy.
Linda - Little Prince (MR)
(03:59, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 06/12/2021)
Hungarian artist Linda Horváth loves to watch the world from above. The pilot from Budapest takes her listeners on musical journeys through the air and towards the clouds. Aviophobia is not a problem when Linda takes off and lets us partake on her flight. Smooth, bouyant, and artistic movements are undertaken via Soul and Funk. In her single 'Little Prince', Linda also lets some heavy Alternative Rock riffs float into the soundscape which makes the song even more catchy without having it lose its elegance.
Under Delusion - Lover (MR)
(03:12, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 04/02/2022)
'Lover' is not only the title track of the new album by Alternative Rock and Darkwave Band Under Delusion from Russian capital Moscow. It is also a thrilling single in which the band masterfully presents their versatile talent and musical skills. The short but intense track is the most seductive song that Under Delusion have released so far, and it is an impressive and dark slow jam for a close dance.
Mules - Clapping for Carers (MR)
(03:20, Single, Digital, Halfmeltedbrain Records, 28/01/2022)
Quartet Mules from English town Brighton are a band whose name you will not regret keeping in mind. Their first official release is the single on hand 'Clapping for Carers', a three-minute banger combining the greatest ingredients of Post Punk, New Wave and Indie Rock with some honest and kick-ass Punk Rock. Dreamy and yet raw, atmospheric and simultaneously groovy, and merciless after all, Mules confidently celebrate their arrival in the music biz.
Screaming Bones - With yourself (MR)
(64:52, Album, Digital, selfrelease, 25/11/2022)
Screaming Bones is a one-person band consisting of Mike Ludwig from Germany university town Darmstadt. On his first album "With yourself", the artist paints seven gorgeous and colourful sonic pictures for fans of heavy psychedelia, progressive song structures, and a deep and sustainable exploration of one's own mind. A krauty drum rhythm and a warm bass create the foundation on which this intelligent mix of Prog, Psych, and Space Rock invite you on a stunning one-hour trip.
SALt - Tumbleweed (MR)
(03:29, Single, Digital, The Animal Farm, 07/01/2022)
On this single that is also featured on SALt's new vinyl longplayer "Fairytale on Fire", the band from Edinburgh, Scotland longingly looks back onto the good old days of hedonism and partying like there was no tomorrow. But this feeling and self-image of being the sole ruler of this planet vanishes over time, and it gradually is being washed out until all you see is a tumbleweed rolling by. These thoughts full of passion and nostalgia are wrapped up in dynamic and yet atmospheric Post Punk and Indie Rock - a stunning anthem between coming-of-age and nostalgia.
Electric High - Colorful White Lies (MR)
(03:16, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 04/02/2022)
A white lie may appear so harmless at first. It can even do you or someone else good for a certain time span. But will a white lie stay as pale and colourless, almost invisible forever? Or will it grow hile hidden, gradually change its colour, and then turn out to be a colourful, chaotic, and probably even harmful instance? Well, there is something that is certainly true: Electric High from Bergen, Norway have hereby created another massive and fuzz-loaded Alternative Rock anthem. Turn up the volume and enjoy the truth.
Eruption Artistique - Ball & Chain (MR)
(03:35, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 02/10/2022)
'Ball & Chain' is the opening track of the EP "Vicar Pop" by the collective Eruption Artistique from Rotterdam, Netherlands. Somewhere between Post Punk and Garage Rock, between atmospheric and darkly dynamic sounds, between a prominent trumpet and thrilling vocals, Eruption Artistique create their very own signature sound here. Not only the soundscapes are a piece of art, but the music video is, too. For three-and-a-half minutes the visuals enchant your synapses and take you on a dark but psychedelic trip that combines melancholia and deconstruction with rush and excitement.
Eternal Frequency - Step Up (MR)
(03:14, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 07/01/2022)
Pennsylvanian quintet Eternal Frequency present themselves with broad shoulders and some very healthy self-confidence in their latest single release 'Step up'. Powered by electrifying shifted rhythms, massive and raw riffs, and elements of Glitch and D'n'B, Eternal Frequency take their audience to the dystopian realms of Bladerunner, The Crow, or The Matrix. The massive and powerful Modern Metal anthem 'Step up' is an ideal soundtrack for your next conficence booster, or for your workout session.
The Roadside Bandits Project - Little Babylon (MR)
(03:30, Single, Digital, Dharma Records, 14/01/2022)
And last but definitely not least, here is a butt-moving Blues Rock, Soul, and Rock'n'Roll anthem that combines old myths and recent happenings. In this thrilling song one might find parallels drawn between Roman decadence and a Prime Minister who is having wine and dinner parties while the rest of the nation is under lockdown. One will definitely discover joy and movement in this song, no matter if you live in Downing Street or not.
