LILLI - Manflake (MR)
(03:30, Single, Digital, Inverse Records, 31/01/2022)
In a world full of bar-room clichés and locker room talk apologetics, we have to stand up against the representatives of conservative ideas. That is exactly what LILLI do in their latest single 'Manflake', the second ex ante release off their upcoming album. The Finnish band clearly and loudly states they have had enough of sexists' and misogynists' speeches, and thus the message of this earth-shaking Hard Rock manifesto is "Shut the Fuck up you fucking little Manflake!". Hell yes! This banger is soaked in mansplainers' tears.

Bladderwrack - Is this a Party?
(01:57, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 31/01/2022)
London's duo Bladderwrack invite us to... well it could be a party, an orgy, a meeting, or some other kind of gathering. Nevertheless, who the hell invited boring Dominic? Certainly, we are not having parties in these times. Not even the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is....Well, anyways, this massive and heavy track is ready to plow down every gathering or venue within less than two minutes while the intense fuzz sound and the echoing vocals electrify the air with high voltage.

Medussa - Xibalbá
(12:44, Single, selfrelease, 31/12/2021)
On New Year's Eve 2021, Post Metal band Medussa from Santander, Spain have released this stunning two-track instrumental single named after the underworld of the Mayan mythology. The two tracks 'Ningen Sengen' and 'Terror Háza' are massive atmopsheric and heavy presentations of Post Metal with psychedelic passages and some Sludge pact. Medussa play the sound of collapsing landscapes.

Devil Magick - Tears in Rain (MR)
(05:08, Single, selfrelease, 22/01/2022)
Southern Californian Doom Metal band pays musical hommage to Ridley Scotts film "Blade Runner" with the single 'Tears in Rain'. The screenplay's dystopian and apocalyptic themes have beautifully been adapted in the song's sounds as Devil Magick present a progressive and melodic mix of Doom and Heavy Metal that will not only please fans of Titanosaur, or Mirror of Deception.

NOFNOG - Insomnia (MR)
(01:59, Single, Digital, SBÄM Records, 28/01/01/2022)
Hardcore Punk band NOFNOG from St. Gallen, Switzerland describe that unpleasant feeling of not being able to sleep although it would really be necessary. But instead of the recovery that body and mind need, thoughts and memories flash through the head, makingnit impossible to sleep. Aggressively and with hectic movement, the Swiss band makes us comprehend that very feeling.

Sounds of New Soma - Überschwupper
(04:48, Single, Digital, Tonzonen, 01/02/2022)
Sounds of New Soma (or: SONS) from Krefeld, Germany restlessly produce one Kraut- and Electronic Rock anthem after the other. Their newest single 'Überschwupper' is taken off their upcoming collaboration album "Music Bizarre" that will be out in May 2022. The album will feature plenty of musicians from Tonzonen Records together with the label's core band SONS and thus present the artistic range of the label. The title 'Überschwupper' by the way is an old German name for pullovers or sweatshirts that has never really made it to general vocabulary (Even I, a German native, had to look it up).

eyesnomouth - NIHIL (MR)
(08:24, EP, Digital, selfrelease, 01/02/2022)
Darker than polar night and as brutal as life itself, eyesnomouth from English town Bath provide us Sludge, Doom, and Death Metal with a modern twist, and traces of Industrial Metal. The band's third EP "NIHIL" comes up to its name since the three songs draw images if a world that has already been lost. These eight are perfect for stress relief.

Acid Row - No Church on Sunday (MR)
(11:00, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 30/01/2022)
And last but nt least, here is some acidic, psychedelic, occvlt, and dynamic Stoner Doom from Czech capital Prague. The quartet will release their second full-length album on February 22, 2022 at 11:11 AM (Central European Time), and not one minute earlier. Those of you lucky enough to make it to the Czech capital on March 13 should go to Kasárna Karlín to attend the release party.
