Wizard Master - Phasmatis
(38:10, Album, Vinyl/Digital, Forbidden Place Records/Interstellar Smoke Records/Ruidoteka Records/, 01/02/2022)
This album by Stoner Doom band Wizard begins with the terrified words of a caller who has encountered an 'Extradimensional Being'. With the following track 'Know the Wizard', the band from the Italian capital introduces themselves to us by presenting powerful, eschatologic, and dark sounds. With broad shoulders and a desireful glare towards the end of the world, Wizard Master bring us Doom Metal and apocalyptic Stoner Rock while worshipping Black Sabbath.

Tåsen Tea Party - Fraud, Fiction and Direction
(25:18, EP, selfrelease, 16/02/2022)
The frequency that
Tåsen Tea Party release EPs with is barely comprehensible. Their latest release "Fraud, Fiction and Lost Direction" follows the straight line of the band from Oslo, Norway in which they produce frosty and gloomy Coldwave and Post Punk while paying tribute to Joy Division. And thus, the new EP contains five gorgeously melancholic tracks to get lost to.

Sönus - Usurper of the Universe (MR)
(35:25, Album, CD/Cassette/Digital, Forbidden Place Records, 04/02/2022)
If you have ever taken part in a rocket race that bypassed collapsing galaxies and the acid began kicking right before the finish line, you might have a really good impression of what this album sounds like. For everyone else, "Usurper of the Universe" is the latest full-length release by David Wachsman's Sönus from San Francisco, California. On six tracks the Californian artist and his guests play massive Space Doom that is decorated with a certain Stenchcore destructiveness, every hallucinogetic known in the milky way, and some Motörhead.

SOKOJO - More (MR)
(20:28, EP, Digital, LGN Recordings, 04/02/2022)
The quartet SOKOJO from Los Angeles, California provides us with timeless and dynamic Rock music on their five-track EP "More". The psychedelia of the 60s merges with the progressive character of the 70s, while the 80s' crunchy power fuses with the melancholic atmosphere. The result is energetic, forceful, moving, and emotional at the same time while SOKOJO use their thrilling music to deal with serious topics such as drug abuse, solitude, or toxic relationships.

Titanosaur - Absence of the Universe (MR)
(42:10 , Album, CD/Digital, The Swamp, 04/02/2022)
A little more than half a year ago, Titanosaur from Hudson, New York concerned the pre-Columbian history of the population of the Americas. Now on the new album "Abensence of the Universe", the story-telling made of Sludge, Punk, Doom, Hardcore, and more is being taken to another level. Stronger than ever before, Titanosaur presents his exciting style while showing us the most violent spheres of the universe.

Kellerkind Berlin - Way out...
(54:32, Album, CD/Digital, Kissing Sounds, 04/02/2022)
Christian Gorsky also known as Kellerkind Berlin from Kissing, Germany is hereby presenting another masterpiece of ambient, relaxing, and sophisticated soundscapes. Together with guest musician José Roman Duque on bass and drums, Kellerkind Berlin lets us dive into warm and colouful spheres of our subconsciousness. Jazz and Krautrock mix with Berliner Schule and meditative Electronica while the air of Progressive Rock creates the background atmosphere. This is beautiful and artistic music to close your eyes and let your soul wander to.

Pupil Slicer - Thermal Runaway (MR)
(13:39, Single, Digital, Prosthetic Records, 04/02/2022)
You might find this one painful. But if you find some love for Grindcore, Powerviolence, and Noise, you will adore this single. The title track features guest vocals by Cara Drolshagen, and it is a masterful display of controlled sonic violence. The ther two tracks on the single are remixes of  'Wounds upon my Skin'. The  Nadja Remix is a beautiful horror trip of Noise, Dark Ambient, and dungeon sounds. The remix by Marble Girl is a three-minute musical terror attack of electronic sounds.

Preamp Disaster - By the Edges (MR)
(28:45, EP, Digital, selfrelease, 04/02/2022)
The quartet Preamp Disaster from Swiss town Lucerne lives up to their passion for atmospheric, powerful, and opulent soundscapes. On their latest EP "By the Edge", the band from Switzerland presents four new tracks, each of them massive, monolithic, and impressive. For about half an hour, the quartet takes their listeners to a fantastic and fascinating parallel reality.
