"Volition" is the third (or fourth?) single promoting the upcoming album "Acrophase" by Lahore's Prog Metal / Djent band Takatak. For one, I am really happy that another blind spot in my musical atlas has been erased. I have not heard Pakistani Metal before.
Takatak play high-quality Prog. The music is heavy, intelligent, melodic, and absolutely stunning. Giant wave of progressive themes raise up and gush down with beautiful harmonies. Melodic slide-ins make it even more interesting and add to the chequered soundscape of heavy riffing and shifted rhythms.

Takatak are Daud Ramay and Yusuf Ramay (drums), Isa Najam (bass), Zain Peerzada and Luka Azariah (guitars), and Ali Sohail and Altamash Sever (vocals). The band was founded 10 years ago and is releaseing their debut album later this year. I am super hyped for that album and it will definetly be featured on my page, so stay tuned!
