After yesterday's swamp content, why not stay oozy for another day. Therefore, I am talking about the debut EP "I" by Swamp Thief from Swansea (or Abertawe, if you prefer the Welsh name) from South Wales.
Marc Lockwood (drums) and Simon Bevan (guitars, bass, vocals) have played music together for over two decades. Since 2018, their very own band Swamp Thief stands for low tunes, blues-laden riffs and dynamic rhythms.

The EP contains four tracks that magically merge the sludgy intensity of Stoner Metal, the fuzzy hypnosis of Desert Rock, and the sonorous power of Heavy Blues Rock. This is the sound for some sweeping dance steps while still holding a can of beer in your hand. The music makes your feet stomp and allows your head to bang despite its mid-tempo pace. Swamp Thief's debut is a powerladen collection of four hymns for a great party. And, if you haven't clicked on the video above, please do so now and enjoy the sheer force of the cowbell.

Marc and Simon have made a great effort with their debut. Fans of artists like Clutch, Fu Manchu or Dozer will not regret having this EP in their collection. What a powerful, fuzzy and yet very harmonic EP!
