Luca (vocals and guitar) and Paul (bass) have known each other for quite some time and they have shared several music projects in the past. In spring 2018 they were joined by drummer Bennet. And you might already have assumed what happened next. A rock'n roll band was born.
So, is this where the review ends? Rock band in classic line up playing everyday-normal-rock? Fortunately not! But better listen yourselves before continue reading.

The music Rovar play is a velvet wrecking ball of Heavy Rock. Blues motifs stomp forward like a whirlwind and spread comfortable dynamics by high pace. I'd call this highspeed heavy Blues. On top the crunchy and compressed effects make the atmosphere appear very dazy. Rovar's debut sounds like attending an intense Rock'n Roll concert in a venue full of smoke. It is a eautiful numbness that covers the heavy sounds. Thus, you can stagger around and still bang your head when the band plays their catchy choruses.

[this video kind of proves my point]

Rovar are energetic and soulful. Music-wise there are similarities to Berlin's Circus Electric or Wintherthur's The Dues. This debut EP is a hot recommendation for everyone who enjoys shaking their butts to dynamic Rock music and honest Blues.
