Aversions from Vancouverm British Columbia have released their six-track debut album "Base Portrait" in March 2020. Due to 2020 reasons, the Canadian quartet could not properly promote this album, and thus the EP on hand can be regarded as their second debut. The four-track EP convinces its listeners with melancholic Post Punk that grinds on rough Post Hardcore motifs. And so, Aversions invite us to a dark and fast joyride between harmony and disharmony.

In last year's fourth quarter, the artist from Rock Hill, South Carolina gave us "Bound for Glory", a ten-track release full of little stories, thoughts, or ideas that warm the listeners' hearts and bring us warmth in these cold, dark days. Music-wise, "Bound for Glory" is a deeply harmonic All-American compilation combining Folk, Country, Blues, Gospel, and love.

(03:56, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 15/12/2021)
Jonn, Bongo, and Per have known each other since they were kids. The three people from Swedish capital Stockholm were fascinated by an exhibition by artist Gio Black Peter called "No Peace of Mind for a Piece of Meat" and thus they decided to pay musical tribute to the arist's work. The outcome is a relaxed but melancholic Indie and Alternative Rock hymn that comes with a certain Nick Cave vibe in the pre-chorus.

The Midnight Vortex - Long Way Ahead (MR)
(04:05, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 15/01/2022)
When the harsh time of the lockdowns was over in England's capital London, The Midnight Vortex was founded by five musicians who had enough of sitting still and doing nothing. Taking thoughts and experiences that came towards during quarantine and lockdown, the quintet has begun writing and recording melancholic and liberating songs. Their second single 'Long Way Ahead' is a deep embrace of life and friendship presented on sweetest Blues and Grunge.
CrushedVelvet - Better Late Than Never (MR)

On four tracks, CrushedVelvet from Boston, Massachusetts, powerfully combines 1980s-style Hard Rock and Blues with contemporary Alternative Rock and thereby creates a multidimensional and timeless sonic experience. The soulful but confident opener 'Release me' is followed by the powerful hymn 'Anthem' [nomen est omen]. In the thrillingly funky 'If you break her heart', CrushedVelvet has an important feminist message to share, before this short but heavy EP is being closed by the honest Rock ballad 'Torn apart'.
Harrison Rimmer - The End (MR)
(03:52, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 21/01/2022)
With his latest EP "Broken Strings" being released for almost two years, York's musician Harrison Rimmer announces his debut album "Larkholme" to be out soon. As the album's second ex ante single, the artist from England's Northwest has chosen the Hard Rock steam roller 'The End'. The massive riffs change between atmospheric passage that build up tension, and powerful thunderboltsfor discharge. Thus, 'The End' is a gigantic Hard Rock tempest raising the anticipation for "Larkholme".
SpünDay - ICE-TV (MR)
(02:17, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 10/01/2022)
To understand what SpünDay sound like, the best approach is to listen to SpünDay. One might raise questions such as 'Is it Noise?', 'Is it partially electronic?', or 'Is it Punk?', and the answer will always be 'Yes, absolutely! Yet, it is different.'
The Welsh trio's latest single release 'ICE-TV' lets the audience dive into unknown spheres of human subcosciousness. This sonic journey presented by Scunge, Daf, and Matthew from Tonypandy is psychedelic, full of glitches, disturbing, and absolutely worth undertaking.
Second Player Score - Game on (MR)
(02:13, Single, Digital, selfrelease, 17/12/2021)
Trio Second Player Score from Vancouver, Washington has a solid plan regarding their releases. The single on hand is the first ex ante release off the upcoming EP "Four-D: The Autumn Suite". That EP though will be the second part of the band's larger concept album "Four-D". Since the previous EP is called "Four-D: The Winter Suite", one might make assumptions about the following EPs' names.
Nevertheless, 'Game on' is an intense Pop Punk anthem. From the straighforward Punk Rock beat over the backing choirs to the thrilling stucture, everything in this song screams for a heavily happy moshpit.

These five tracks are full of surprises and beautiful twists.
