(11:45, Album, CD/Cassette/Digital, Fresh Outbreak Records, 25/01/2022)
It may still be early in 2022, but concerning Thrashcore, Powerviolence, and ultrafast Hardcore Punk, here is a candidate for "album of the year" already. Spoiled from Milan and Rome, Italy present 14 songs in less than twelve minutes that leave the listeners only two little pauses for catching breath. "Anti Human Machine Gun" is a tornado of wrecking balls.
Crass - Normal Never Was - Revelations - The Remix Compilation (MR)
(141:00, Compilation, 2CD/Digital, Crass Records, 21/01/2022)
Two CDs, forty tracks, and almost two and a half hours of sounds: Crass' 1978 album "The Feeding of the 5000" has been remixed, remastered, reinterpreted by 39 great artists, and by Oi Polloi. The original Anarcho Punk sounds' new interpretations are made from Electro Punk, Glitch, Drum'n'Bass, Trip Hop, Dub, Breakbeat, and more. This compilation shows that Crass' messages will not be silenced until the revolution is won. The sounds have changed, the struggle is the same.
Strange Horizon - The Final Vision (MR)
(04:27, Single, Digital, Apollon Records, 26/01/2022)
With an eschatologic theme, Strange Horizon from Bergen, Norway make their first appearance (if you ignore the three-track rehearsal recording "Sonos Aestas MMXVIII" from 2019). The Norwegian trio presents authentic and autochthonous Doom Metal that confidently stands for itself. The raw and yet harmonic soundscapes will please fans of Candlemass, Saint Vitus, or Thronehammer likewise. This debut single is perfect for turning up the volume and embracing the everlasting cycle of decay and creation.

Itso Nickoloff (bass) and Alexander Enev (guitar, tone engineering, production) present a next-level approach to progressive and psychedelic Rock music. The duo from Burlgarian town Varna create hypnotizing soundscapes that unite the lightness of a dove's feather dancing on a warm Black Sea breeze and the massive force of giant waves colliding with coastal rocks.

Skism - Capitol Lies (MR)
(17:55, Album, CD/Digital, Rotten Bastard Records, 28/01/2022)
New York's angry and aggressive bunch Skism are back with nine new tracks. The first eight of these songs are no-compromise East Coast Hardcore Punk following the tradition of the genre's roots. And after fifteen minutes of pogo and moshpit, the band leaves their audience some time to catch breath on the Rockabilly hymn 'You.'. Altogether, this angry Punk Rock album is perfect for a full body workout.
