Joe Matera - Electric Wire
Release: April 13, 2020
Label: selfrelease
Format: Digital
Length: 34:58

The most recent release by Joe Matera is a collection of ten of his greatest instrumental tracks. Via the "Electric Wire" each of these songs shall be presented to the digital work.
Music journalist and guitar player Joe Matera provides more than half an hour of instrumental Hard and Folk Rock with heart and punch. Featured artists on this album are solo guitar players Rick Brewster ('Face Off'' and 'No Way'), Fred Mascherino ('Endless Summer'), Mick McConnell ('Outland' and 'Slave to the Fingers'), and bass player Tony Dolan ('Slave to the Fingers', 'Brave New World' and 'Face Off').

The Blues- and Folk-influenced Hard Rock themes on Matera's solo album are a soundtrack of freedom and jauntiness. Selfreflected and passionate Joe Matera jams, strums, pets and caresses his instrument. The outcome is the music you want to spend endless summer nights and joyrides with.
Similar to Rhy Dongju but less jazzy, Matera invites us to a comfy and pleasant guitar lounge. "Electric Wire" is a collection of timeless guitar music - an easy to digest and yet sophisticated piece of Hard Rock.
