The intro appears silent. But brace yourselves as this is the calm before the storm. Peñaflor's Parkcrest have a new album out. "...and that blue will turn into red" has been available on Bandcamp since autumn 2019, and can now be purchased on CD via Awakening Records.

Despite playing rough, brutal und high-speed Thrash Metal, Parkcrest are somewhat melodic and add a lot of chequered and intelligent motifs to their music. The video above of the instrumental track 'Dwelling in the Moonlights' is a perfect example for this. Each of the nine songs is coined by versatile riffing powerfully grinding above the brachial rhythms. On top of this raw soundscape the intense vocals shoot like a nailgun.

Parkcrest are obviously influenced by Thrash Metal of the Kreator- and Destruction era. The music is spiky, edgy, brutal and somewhat close to Punk Rock. Aggressively the band deals with issues such as mental health, injustice, hatred, and desparation. This is an album to lift yourselves up with at least one raised fist - the soundtrack for a revolution within your mind.

Even if you are not into Thrash Metal Punk that much, you might enjoy this one for its metallic force. "...and that blue will turn into red" is an elctrifying battleship of powerful Thrash Metal.
