Dirty Shirt - Get your dose now! (MR)
(30:28, Album, CD/Digital, selfrelease, 01/04/2022)
What once started as a wedding band has over the years become serious and autochthonous band with a unique sound. Romanian eight-piece Dirty Shirt, the Transylvanian Folklore Orchestra and eleven further guest musicians (eighteen if you count the bonus tracks, too) provide a dynamic and distinctive crossover cocktail made from Romanian folklore, Nu Metal, Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, Ska, and much more. You may draw comparisons to bands like Skindred, Gogol Bordello, or early System of a Down but they will only last for some beats until Dirty Shirt have already let the next big musical surprise explode to our joy.
The CD version which you can order on Bandcamp  the nine tracks of "Get your dose now!" plus the four-track "Pandemic Special" as bonus tracks. Every single beat on this amazing release is a party. When this dynamic Transylvanian Crossover Metal combo comes to your neighbourhood, you should not hesitate a moment to put on your dancing shoes for this unique experience.

Dez Dare - 1.9.8.5. (MR)
(07:40, Single, Digital, CH!MP, 01/04/2022)
Dez Dare from Brighton, England is hereby presenting the first tunes of his upcoming album "Ulysses Trash" to be out on August 19, 2022. The two-track single contains the atmospheric title track '1.9.8.5.' which comes with beautifully anthemic Comeback Kid vibrations in its bridge, and with the noisy Garage and Grunge banger 'O' Brother, O' Beast!'. On the title track, the English artist shares his thoughts on religious concepts such as the immortality of the soul. Instead of yearning for the unverifiable perks of the afterlife, Dez Dare prefers to focus on that one life we have. With the thrilling and fuzzy Alternative Rock anthem '1.9.8.5.' and the noisy Post Punk B-side, Dez Dare is definitely creating a thrill of anticipation for "Ulysses Trash".

La Nausée - Disorder (MR)
(13:47, EP, Digital, selfrelease, 07/04/2022)
With their second EP "Disorder", La Nausée from Belgian town Ghent have created a sonic monster with a goat's legs, a bear's torso, a human skull with devlishly shining eyes, and a worn-out battle vest. Crust Punk, Sludgecore, and the eternal flames of hell are the main ingredients for this sonic beast. The band does not keep it a secret that they have been influenced by Amenra and Stake, and yet their D-Beat from the seven hells is autochthonous.

Bottlekids - Nowt (MR)
(02:07, Single, Digital, SBÄM Records, 08/04/2022)
By releasing their latest single 'Nowt', Bottlekids from Chepstow, Wales have officially initiated the promo phase for their upcoming EP "ZILCH!" to be available via SBÄM Records on May 27, 2022. The new single is a full-throttle Melodic Punk anthem for the skate parks, for the streets and for the moshpits. This powerload will make it impossible for the audience to sit still.

Church of the Sea - Odalisque (MR)
(28:12, EP, Vinyl/Digital, selfrelease, 08/04/2022)
In the five years of their existence, Doomgaze and Psychedelic Post Rock trio Church of the Sea have released their first EP "Anywhere but Desert" and the single "Odalisque" which has now been followed by the eponymous six.track EP on hand. Dreamy atmospheres of thick sound and daintily dancing movements set the audience into a comfortable and activating trance. The band from Greek capital Athens lets fog and light dance alongside the mesmerizing rhythms of this stunning EP. This amazing combination of organic and electronic sounds is a gorgeous sonic tidbit that fits perfectly to a listening session of Pia Isaksens recenly published masterpiece "Distorted Chants".

Guided Meditation Doomjazz - Summer let me down (MR)
(29:03, EP, Digital, The Swamp, 08/04/2022)
For half an hour, Guided Meditation Doomjazz invite us on another soul-healing and mind-expanding sonic journey on which are getting closer to ourselves. These five track that are featured on the Texan project's latest EP have been recorded by J Blaise Gans, Mathew Doeckel, and Greg Perlman during one afternoon session. The instrumentals are coined by a stoic krauty and partially jazzy drumset that is tightly knit with the fuzzy Blues bass. On top the clean guitar sounds paint colourful images full of life and movement and thus take the lead in this guided meditation.

Egor Lappo - Naturealism (MR)
(40:20, Album, Digital, selfrelease, 08/04/2022)
Egor Lappo from Russian city St. Petersburg is back with a monumental concept album. Aprt from guest appearances by Alex Parkinson and Francisco Meza, everything from ideas to concepts over to recording and up to mixing and mastering has been undertaken by Egor Lappo himself. The result of this solo work is an outstanding sonic take on the topic of fear and phobias. The soundscapes on this eclectic piece reach from colourfully gentle Prog Pop over to Symphonic Rock and up to heavy Prog Metal and Djent.

Kaamos Warriors - Spirit from the Void (MR)
(35:36, Album, Digital, Inverse Records, 08/04/2022)
Within less then five years since their formation, Kaamos Warriors from Kempele in Northern Finland have already released their fourth longplayer. Like its three predecesssors, "Spirit from the Void" has been published by Inverse Records and provides the listeners with a combination of melodic Northern Folklore, atmospheric and cold Black Metal, and massively grooving riffs. While for my personal taste the melodic passages are a tiny bit too dominant, nevertheless precede the zeitgeist as it appears that the sound of bands such as Katamenia, Moonsorrow, or No Man's Land is experiencing a serious revival. The three musicians from the North seem to have their drakkar set on the right course.
