Samavayo - Pāyān (MR)

Their seventh longplayer leads the trio from German capital to the chasms of humankind such as hatred, violence, oppression, and wars. Heavy Stoner Rock accompanies the songs that are dedicated to those who had to flee from conflicts in Afghanistan, Iran, and to those who are still there bearing the unbearable. Among the guest musician is Igor Sydorenko (Stoned Jesus) whose stunning guitar solo for the title track was recorded before Ukraine was attacked by the army of the Russian Federation.
Soonago - Fathom (MR)

Five years after the release of their debut album "Nephele", the second longplayer by Soonago from Bielefeld, Germany is now available via Kapitaen Platte. The quartet's sophomore release contains four stunningly atmospheric Post Metal and Post Rock tracks. Monumentally and yet dynamically, the soundscapes stand for political events of the recent years, and thus the album is turbulent, merciless, dystopian, and rough. Not even among Post Metal releases, "Fathom" is an outstanding album.
Isoscope - In the Absence of a Guide (MR)

Berlin's Post Punk and Math Rock whizzkids Isoscope present a live recording of their sing 'In the Absence of a Guide'. The openening track of their debut album "Ten Pieces" has been recorded and filmed at Grandpa's Smoky Cellar Studio in the German capital. This dynamic track raises the anticipation for the band's tour beginning today. Amongst other great concerts, there is also the gig in Würzburg on May 13, hosted by MangoWave.
Irnini Mons - En Solitaire

Decibelles from Lyon, France were on of the greatest Indie, Post Punk, and Noise bands I have ever seen live. After the end of Decibelles was announced, it took only short time until Fanny, Sabrina, and Guillaume teamed up with Valentin and have formed succeeding band Irnini Mons whose second single 'En Solitaire' is out now. This energetic and entertaining break-up song sweetens the remaining three weeks until the release of Irnini Mons' selftitled debut album.
Mustasuo - Hiljaisuus (MR)

Mustasuo from Finnish Oulu provide with the thickest, most sardonic, violent, and coldest sounds on their third full-length release "Hiljaisuus" (Finnish: "Silence"). Raging Blackened Crust à la Martyrdöd meets emotional and violent Hardcore Punk in the style of NEIN NEIN NEIN, and gets its final decor by Darkthronesque atmosphere. For almost half an hour, Mustasuo let hell's gates stand wide open while their inferious music raises silence on Earth.
OK WAIT - Well (MR)

The outer appearance of OK WAIT's debut album "Well" alone is reason to buy this record. The proud rooster on the cover artwork lets you know you did the right thing when the sleeve stands next to your record player. And music-wise, the quartet from Northern Germany's metropolis soothens our synapses with atmospheric Post Rock, monumental instrumental stuctures, and a meditatively exciting mood.
The Pighounds - Green Lobster Inc.

About a year ago, The Pighounds stunned us with their album "Hilleboom" that was a huge celebration of stoned Grunge and massive Alternative Rock. Another thing, the duo is really amazing at is music videos, and the visualizer for their banging new single 'Green Lobster Inc' is yet another great example for that.
Varjo-Orkesteri - Prima Volta (MR)

The Italian title of this album means "First Time", and it is the debut of Prog quartet Varjo-Orkesteri (Finnish: Shadow Orchestra) from Kotka, Finland. Jarmo, Pasi, Saku, and Markku present a sound that is far beyond the typical and trodden paths of Prog Rock. The quartet combines mesmerizing rock sounds in the style of the 1960s and 70s with the easygoing steps of Canterbury, but also does not hesitate to add dominant features from Northern folklore. And finally, Varjo-Orkesteri radius this idiosyncratic approach to Folk and Rock by refining it with Italian-style Rock and Metal. The result is a unique and timeless sound.
