It was in 2017 when Orbital Junction launched. Driven by the deep admiration for heavy Stoner riffs and catalyzed by the power of beer and snacks, four young men from England's capital decided to found a band. One year later, Jack Revans (drums), Billy Dale (bass), Ric Fordyce (guitar) and Owen Armstrong (vocals) released their highly praised selftitlted debut EP. And in 2019, Orbital Junction were called "London's best new stoner rock band" at the Desertfest.

The first full-length album "Egos & Instincts" was released this September and is the result of the band jumping right into action after their first success. The album contains eight tracks of fuzz-driven and extremely heavy Blues Rock. Dusty Desert Rock with an autochthonous Rock'n'Roll attitude steadily rolls forward like a Merkava tank. Some of the guitar licks create a psychedelic atmosphere. But the impact that is more dominant are the massive riffs that display an obvious tendency towards Stoner Metal.

What Orbital Junction present on "gos & Instincts" is Stoner Rock of the square-shouldered sort. The catchy song structures settle down in your ears like fine-grain desert sand and sustainably create a thirst for open air live gigs. "Egos & Insticts" is Desert Rock for the big festival stages. If you enjoy Desert and Stoner Rock or Metal acts like QOTSA, Fu Manchu or Spiritual Beggars, Orbital Junction will definitely please you. Also, fans of Heavy Rock bands like Circus Electric or VUG should not hesitate and give this young and uprising band from England a chance.
