You can say what you want, but the global pandemic has definitely had its impact on music and culture. Another example for the art of the coronacene is the newest Single by San Diego's Metalcore quintet Fire & Flesh. With “The Art of Living” the band from California loudly tells us to pull ourselves together. It is a song that has the potential to become an anthem for these weird and chaotic times we are living in. Thus, “The Art of Living” is a powerful call to not fall into the dark hole that the virus has created in the middle of our lives.

Fire & Flesh have created an empowering and angry declaration against the negativity of the year 2020. Ultra-fast Metalcore riffs rage forward like a gatling gun loaded with iron fists. Rough breaks and massive sounds emphasize this intense battle cry. “The Art of Living” is an uplifting and extremely dynamic wrecking ball. Both, the rough high-speed metallic riffs and the melodic pentatonic are filled with rage and they collar. This track shakes the whole planet and will not stop doing so until we are back to our senses and start saying “Fuck you, COVID! We won’t surrender!”.
