Jason Payne? You mean THE Jason Payne? As in, the REAL Jason Payne? Exactly!
Still wondering who I'm talking about? Jason Payne is mostly known for being the guitar player and vocalist with British Rock band Louzada. This autumn the three band members decided to go seperate ways and thus to split up. One story becomes three stories. This is the first chapter of Jason's story. And it is called "Waking the Damned".

Jason Payne & The Black Leather Riders debut with a Single that once again emphasizes the comeback of Millenium-Era Alternative Metal. "Waking the Damned" combines melodic voices with harsh riffs and wraps them up in a bitter-sweet and gloomy atmosphere. This is the revival of sounds like early Linkin Park or Staind. The impact of synthetic effects adds some traces of Modern Metal à la Adema to the smooth but hard soundscape.

Jason Payne & The Black Leather Riders are a name to keep in mind for all of you who enjoyed the harder sound of the Post-Nirvana times. "Waking the Damned" is a soulful and yet intense release and a great start for Jason Payne's Post-Louzada career.
