 Happy Animal - Autumn Shade
Release Date: May 20, 2021
Length: 02:53
Genre: Garage Rock / Fuzz Rock
Origin: Manchester, England

Happy Animal is the solo project by Manchester's Andy Lewis. The one-person band has recently musicked their thoughts on the pandemic and its consequences. The debut single "Autumn Shade" concerns the Summer afflicted by lockdowns and restrictions. Thus, the song is about mental health issues, society and politics drifting apart, and the hope for a fresh restart, or a return to the status quo ante likewise - "I felt better in the Autumn shade, the days were shorter as the sunlight fades".

"Autumn Shade" is a heavy and fuzz-driven Garage and Indie Rock banger. With sonorous sound and crunchy effects, Happy Animal creates a soundscape that intonates the urge to break out of the current situation. Together, vocals and instruments create a powerful and somehow desolate cry for a change. The gloomy Garage Rock theme of "Autumn Shade" screams for the wheel of COVID to stop rolling.
