"My Brain's in my Skin" is the third out of twelve releases by Jem Doulton. The series began with "The Thingly Thing" (also featured on MangoWave) and continued with "The Roam". In the meantime, Doulton has already published part four of the series, "Suddenly you're in the Sahara".
"My Brain's in my Skin" is powerful opposition to racist points of view and to people in power or in parliaments who support those ideas. Referring to an advisor of the British government who claimed that white people were superior to other ethnicities, Jem Doulton decided to express his anger about such racist stupidity and produced a song with a strong anti-racist message.

The song features guest musicians Kevin Toublant (bass and moog) and Thurston Moore (guitar and atmosphere). Together, the three artists have created a massive dreamscape of psychedelic noise and angry gang shouts. Jem Doulton's ethereal spoken-word vocals rise above this atmospheric soundscape like a preacher in a black mass. It is a thrilling an occult musical landscape that Jem Doulton and his guests provide to drag their audience into a psychedelic tunnel of sound, and to present the racists' stupidity.
