In May, the single "מנטרה" by Ashkelon's exceptional artist Jiva Taranenko was featured on MangoWave. Click here to read and listen. Today, I am extremely happy to present another powerful song by the gifted musician from Israel's Southern coastal region. Jiva is providing us with ethereal and sensual vocals on atmospheric soundscapes created by Plotnik82.
"חושך" (Hebrew: "Dark" or "Darkness") is built on a trippy and glitchy carpet of synthetic psychedelia. The dark and yet smooth soundscapes contain gorgeous breaks which create further thrill to the ethereal atmosphere, and finally gently strummed strings add a beautiful heat to the sound.
This psychedelic sonic artwork is being completed by the stunning vocals of Jiva Taranenko. Smooth and yet powerful, the artist enchants her audience, and once more I think, I really should start learning Hebrew.
