Lewis and Robert Mawer are twin brothers from a small town in North Yorkshire. To pursue their dreams of a career as musicians they moved 'Three Steps South' to the vibrant capital of England. In August 2020, their album "Dopplegangers Collective" featuring plenty of guest artists was released. At the dawn of English autumn, their latest single 'Three Steps South' marks the beginning of their original sound.

Rock'n'Roll, Funk and Indie Rock meet on a sparsely illuminated dance floor on this dynamic track. While the verses are defined by a rather psychedelic atmosphere, the bridges and choruses are straight-forward, funk-driven Indie anthems. With a main riff that reminds of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and a gloomy but moving Post Punk mood, Dopplegangers have created a great hymn for everyone who is new to the city.
