What would you when the nuclear clock is ticking towards the final big bang? When it's not two minutes to Midnight, but two minutes to doom? When all that we know and love is about to be over forever? Would you pray and repent, would you pack as much joy into the last two minutes as you can, or would do anything to prevent this human-made collapse of all life? Moscow's Paraline describe the latter version in their latest single 'Apocalypse now' - a narrative about humankind trying to change tack last second. The single will be featured on the upcoming album "Sound Weapon".
Paraline's sound on 'Apocalypse Now' really is apocalyptic. The atmospheric synth sounds create a cold and tense mood. On top of this Industrial layer, the Russian band adds gloomy and melancholic Alternative Rock themes that beatifully interfere with the synthetic tension and build up electricity that discharges in the massive chorus. In the end, darkness and light, Industrial and Alternative, a trace of Adema-style Modern Metal, hope and desparation merge. Dusk and dawn happen simultaneously as Paraline let the song fade out.
