In March 2021, theWorst from Portland, ME were featured in the Discoveries of the Week with their single 'Yes, Regrets'. The single is eponymous to the band's sophomore album which will be out soon. The third ex ante single to the full-length release is the single on hand, 'Jim's Song'. theWorst are known for their engagement for the trans community and for their powerful and anthemic sound.

After a melancholic and soft intro, 'Jim's Song' immediately bursts into a merciless avalanche of mid-90s Grunge. The harsh and heavy sound is built on the massive drumming by Craig Sala who provides driving and motivating rhythms for the verses, and massive stops and fills to emphasize the anthemic chorus. Will Bradford on bass is responsible for a massively rolling and warm sustain sound that fill the whole room. On top, Binion plays a Kurt Cobain-like guitar, scratchy, powerful, crunchy, and aggressive. Her vocals are absolutely thrilling and remind of the golden age of Grunge. And finally, you can spot the style of producer Will Holland who also worked for The Pixies.
theWorst do not only raise the anticipation for their upcoming album. They also prove that the Grunge Revival is here to stay, and that they empower this movement with their autochthonous and powerful sound.
