Genre: Psychedelic Rock / Post Punk
Origin: Sydney, Australia

In September, Sydney's Morrison Reed released his latest album "Spirit Haus", a fantastic and thrilling story about a group of young people exploring the desert while tripping on LSD. Click here to read the review on "Spirit Haus". In November, the psychedelic storyteller has another dark tale for, and actually this one is a lot darker. 'Old Shady Motel' tells the story of a man building up an obsessive and unhealthy relationship an escort that meets regularly in an 'Old Shady Motel'.

A lick that reminds of the bass line in Pink Floyd's 'Money' introduces 'Old Shady Motel'. The funky guitars musick the gloomy atmosphere of the setting until fuzzy and deeply psychedelic guitars narrate the protagonist getting lost in an endless tunnel of masochism, ecstasy, and self-abandonment. There is no happy ending. But there are amazing and artistic soundscapes.
