"Kadal" means "lizard" and is the name of a band from Java that describes itself as Sabbath-worshipping doomed creatures. The quartet consists of guitarists Damianus Adam and David Kusuma, drummer Lanno Joseph, and Steven Yoyada on the bass. The latter might ring a bell since Steven is also responsible for plenty of stunning psychedelic cover artworks.

The EP on hand features two tracks, both of them around 15 minutes long. The music is defined by heavy and smoked-out Stoner Doom. Whenever one of the guitars absorbs itself from the scratchy foundation, sludgy leads create a heavy psychedelic atmosphere. The Sabbath is most certainly strong with K.A.D.A.L. The EP is definitely worth listening, despite the fact the burning wheels of Stoner, Sludge and Doom are not being reinvented here.
