Lamagra are a five-piece band from Plüdershausen in the Eastern part of the Stuttgart metropolitan area. With "Worldcrusher", Lamagra have published their first release since the 2015 album "Destructive Creation". The outcome is a six-track EP with a bit less than half an hour of forceful Thrash Metal, influences from Death Metal, Metalcore, and a bit of Alternative Metal.

Except for the song 'Dem Todgeweihten 2.0' (German: 'For the Moribund'), and parts of 'Sons of War' the lyrics are all shouted in English. Lamagra play a very intense and heavy version of Thrash Metal with stomping rhythms and riffs that roll forward like tank treads. The Metalcore influence is mostly present in the gang shouts that accompany the hoarse and brachial vocals by Alex, and in the beginning of 'Predatory Behavior' the vocalist starts with some intense pig squeals.

Lamagra play neck-breaking Thrash Metal that is decorated with gory Death Metal and the sheer force of 90s Metalcore. Instead of harsh breaks they provide us with grooving riffs and brief slide-ins in the form of thrashy leads. Also, the melodic tracks 'Stand' and 'Between Love and Hate' show a certain tendency towards Alternative Metal - but in a brutal and thrashy way.

"Worldcrusher" is an awesome EP for stress relief. Lamagra's newest release is perfect for starting off a new day. The sheer force of "Worldcrusher" is uplifting, motivating, and also might help you getting through tough times. Lamagra have hereby created a versatile wrecking ball.
