Scotland's Robot Death Monkey are a "beer drinkin's stoner groove machine", as it says on their Bandcamp profile. You had ma at beer.
The quartet seems to have an interesting taste in humour and films. Their recent EP features a song called 'Bubba Ho-Tep', the legendary film in which Bruce Campbell and Ossie Davis fight a mummy in a retirement, as well as the the track 'Trejo' which might either be an hommage to actor Danny Trejo or a display of affection to alcohol and marijuana. I can only guess since the lyrics are in Spanish.

Music-wise, the six-track EP is defined by powerful and heavily rolling Stoner Rock. If you love the works by Peruvian band El Jefazo, you will highly enjoy this one, too. Most prominent feature on this EP is the way, Robot Death Monkey make use of the potential given by having two guitarists. The multi-layer sound is deeply harmonic and creates a hazy psychedelic soundscape.

Summing up, "Druid Odyssey" is an EP for parties and wild nights. Chug your beer with the rhythm of the drums and you will have an awesome time with this sympathetic band.
