Somewhere between Cornwall in Southwest England and Thrakian city Plovdiv (Пловдив) in South Central Bulgaria, Moontwin arouse from the virtual space. Members Mel and Zac are divided by ~1,700 miles (~2,750 kilometres), but they are also united by a love for passionate and soulful music.
The story behind Moontwin's latest single 'Around and around' is both fantastic and beautiful. Zac awoke from a dream of which the song was the soundtrack. Quick-witted and still half asleep, he sang the chorus and recorded it on his phone before falling asleep again. Finally fully conscious, he later created this song together with Mel.
The dreamy and psychedelic soundscape supports the soft lyrics in which Moontwin take on life and its habit of changing. 'Around and around' is hence about accepting that states may alter, and that development always comes with change - it is inevitable. The sonic reverie that Moontwin create to carry this message beautifully musicks that coming to terms with this truth can be a relief.
