In June, the news were spread that an impressive Blues and Prog Rock release is about to come. Today is the day, we can finally all listen to the debut EP "Sunbound" by Dresden's Poliverso. The Saxon quartet was orignally formed in 2019 by Andrés Ramos (guitar, vocals) who experimented with Caribbean folklore and Rock music. Together with Sören Müller (bass, backing vocals) he wrote the first songs that have later become the tracks of "Sunbound". The band line-up was then completed as Eduardo Mota (drums, percussions) and Scott McLean (keys) joined. As a guest musician, Jeremias Novanhana plays the trombone on the opening track 'El Quinto Sol'.

Poliverso combine the wise foresight of Progressive Rock with sensual Blues Rock movements and a heavy backbone. In some passages, "Sunbound" approaches the realms of Stoner Rock, especially in the final track 'La Hechicera'. On their debut, Poliverso present themselves reflected, sophisticated, and sensual. They manage to combine Blues and Prog in a way that does not sound like the umpteenth Daddy Rock band - instead, "Sunbound" is a refreshing and versatile release that belongs on the stages.
