'So alone' is the fifth single from Bones in Butter's upcoming album "Songs for a sane Society", and it is the third appearance on MangoWave by the band from Serbian capital Belgrade. In this song, the narrative of previous single 'They live!' is being continued. While John Carpenter-influenced song 'They live!' was a musical call to action against oppression, 'So alone' sets the focus on the oppressor themselves, and shows them stripped, alone, and deprived of their powers.
Atmospheric FX, synths, and samples create a glitchy and noisy backbone for 'So alone'. On the next level, a jazzy clarinet dances in bouyant pirouettes around gloomy Post Punk and Alternative Rock. And on the top layer, late-80s Pop choirs accompany the sonorous and hypnotizing vocals.
The sound of Bones in Butter's new single is as various and versatile as the band's home town Belgrade - a musical sphere where Jazz, Balkan sounds, gloomy Rock music, and colourful Pop music clash.
Music from every post will stay in the MangoRotation playlist for 14 days.
