Founded in 2019, Cambridge-based quartet The Routine used the era of the virus with its side effects such as standstill, lockdowns, and restrictions on normality to work on their sound. Writing songs, optimizing their skills as musicians and as a band likewise, and refining their previous works, The Routine prepared for the end of the lockdowns. The result of this process is the six-track EP on hand that openly tells us when and how it was produced: "Under the Circumstances".

The vernier adjustment has been successful, and "Under the Circumstances" has become a round and wholesome release. The Routine provide our ears with Alternative Rock that is melodic and soulful but does not forget that heavy sounds are important, too. Songs such as 'Rest' or 'Come knocking at my Bedroom Door' combine the elements of radio-ready emotional rock music, and catchy anthems to be sang along by a large audience at an Indie Rock festival. With their debut work, The Routine prove that they are ready to continue the work of acts such as Pearl Jam or Staind.

And for the readers who are currently in the UK, here are some dates for upcoming shows:
September 24 - B2, Norwich
October 08 - The Soundhouse, Leicester
October 16 - Spice of Life, London
