'Speak Word of Destruction' is the second single off Ophelia's Eye's EP "Fight for us". If the band name confuses you, that might because the Swiss quintet has changed their name from Project Penny to Red Fire Dragon to Ophelia's Eye. The final name derives from the novel 'Der Sandmann' by German romanticist ETA Hoffmann. The stunning narrative features a character named Olimpia whose name was changed to Ophelia in this case.
'Speak Words of Destruction' deals with chasms of human behaviour, like the rest of the EP does, too. In this special case, the lack of communication that often leads to division, separation and conflicts is concerned. Once, communication is lost, a single misunderstanding can lead to major escalation.

First time, I listened to this song, I was sure that something rang a bell, but I could not tell what it was. Five or six times later, I finally realized that the opening riff reminded me of a song by a band that I used to play with years ago. The band was called Symtoms of Betrayal, and their vocalist is still active with Lamagra.
'Speak Words of Destruction' is a massive juggernaut made from Death Metal and Metalcore, but most certainly not a Deathcore song. The melodic leads in the opening riff and the bridge lead into a brutally stomping passage that is a perfect fit for punching the floor, raising your fists, or doing a workout for your neck muscles.
