Blast from the Past: mypetme

“RTFM”
stands for “Read the Fucking Manual” and featured two tracks. Besides the title
track, mypetme recorded the song ‘Ghost Notes’ for their release. Together, the
demo had a run time of almost ten minutes that presented a very progressive
approach towards Post Hardcore and Alternative Metal. Dark riffs feeling like a
chilly silk cover envelop brachial Post Hardcore breaks. The atmosphere went
from soulful to revolting, and was fitting for either a deliberating mosh pit,
raising your fists to the anthemic choruses, or hugging your neighbour and celebrating
the power of unity.
mypetme were
formed in 2003 and the band immediately got the chance to play alongside
Fireapple Red, Aconite Thrill, and Mahumodo. When their demo “RTFM” was
released, they were featured on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show and a compilation by BasickRecords. Plans were forged out and tours were planned. Unfortunately, mypetme
split up in 2005. Their unique sound may be gone, but not forgotten.
